There are 4 to 5 layers of glass on this window. Most Tiffany Windows are in the Art Nouveau style. This piece was likely installed in the 1880's, when remodeling was being completed at the Trinity Episcopal Church. The image is supposed to symbolize the scripture from revelation 3:19-20 in this it is stated "I reprove and discipline those whom I love. Be earnest, therefore, and repent. Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking: if you hear my voice and open the door. I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me." In the image, the door has been closed for so long that is has grown over with vines. Sources: PRGS Archive, Trinity Episcopal Church
