The image depicts an angel holding a palm, which symbolizes victory, and the Christ's triumph over death. Wit the other hand, the angel is pointing towards the tomb in which Jesus is resurrected. This window is layered with 4 or 5 layers of antique glass. Inscribed in the base of this window is "I am the resurrection and the life, saith the Lord: He that believeth in me, though he were dead, ye! Shall he live." Historical Context
Given in memory of George W. Koontz (1816-1876) and Mary Roane Koontz (1827-1895). This piece was restored by the Pearl River Glass studio in 2009, cleaning out dirt between the layers of the window and repairing cracks. Sources: PRGS Archive, Trinity Episcopal Church
