Historical Context

The oldest stained glass windows in the Trinity Church Natchez are abstract "pattern glass." These windows can be found in the sides of the apse, behind the gallery stairs, and above the front doors. It is likely that the in the earl 1800's, the entire classically-designed nave was illuminated with colored pattern glasss windows like the ones that remain before being replaced with the post Civil War products and artistry. These windows were examined by the Pearl River Glass Studio in 2007. Sources: PRGS Archive, Trinity Episcopal Church
